SongMyTube is a free music streaming companion built by Sasmitha. It lets you search for and play your favourite Sinhala, English, Tamil and Hindi songs, with synced lyrics displayed alongside the music, all in one clean, distraction-free interface.
SongMyTube is a front-end web app. It does not host or store any copyrighted audio or video files on its own servers. Songs and videos are streamed through YouTube’s official embedded player, and playback is subject to YouTube’s own Terms of Service. Your playlists, favourites and preferences are saved locally in your own browser and are not uploaded to any central database.
We built SongMyTube because we wanted a simple, ad-light, no-login way to enjoy South Asian music with lyrics, without juggling multiple apps. We’re a small, independent project and we’re always working on improving the experience.
